About The Teams of PTPL
At the PTPL, your child isn't just training; they are drafted. Every player gets a personalized team jersey and plays for a specific squad, turning standard practice into a real league campaign. This is where they learn to play for the badge, not just for themselves.
Building a Championship Mindset
We believe that cricket skills are only half the game. The other half is mental toughness, which is why we created the Pravin Tambe Premier League (PTPL). This isn't a casual knockabout; it is a structured environment where young players learn how to handle the nerves of match day.
League Structure & Age Groups
We run the league across three core age brackets to ensure fair competition:
- U-10: Focuses on fun, basic skills, and getting comfortable in a team uniform.
- U-12: Introduces tactical understanding and cohesive team play.
- U-14: Our senior-most division, featuring high-skill competition and intense match scenarios.
Every team is organized with a set roster, a distinct color, and an official team flag. Players compete in a fixture list that includes league games and knockout rounds, tracked by our official scorers and umpires.
Why Match Play Matters
Nets can only teach you so much. In our league, players face the pressure of chasing a target or defending a low score. We track stats—runs, wickets, and fielding efforts—and celebrate individual brilliance with awards like Best Batsman and Best Bowler. This helps players see exactly where they stand and what they need to improve. Whether you are in our Mumbai local league or joining us for the Lonavala residential tour, the goal is the same: to give every child a taste of what it feels like to play competitive cricket and walk off the field as part of a team.
