About Behind the Scenes: The Process

The real magic happens before the first layer of foundation. I focus on skin prep and color theory to neutralize textures, ensuring your makeup lasts through long ceremonies without looking cakey. When you book me or join a workshop, you are learning a system that works for real skin, not just a filter.

My approach relies on knowing your skin type first. Whether I am prepping a bride for a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony or a cocktail evening, I use techniques that prioritize comfort over heavy layers.

My Process Breakdown

  • Skin Analysis and Prep: We start with hydration, using products that match your specific skin needs, whether dry or oily. Proper prep is the foundation of a long-lasting look.
  • Color Correction: This is essential for dark circles or pigmentation. I do not hide skin. I even it out so the base looks like skin.
  • Layering: I teach my students to use a mix of high-end and drugstore products like Forever52. You get a professional finish without needing a mountain of products.
  • Hairstyling and Draping: No bridal look is complete without the right drape. My team demonstrates how to pin a Paithani saree or style a dupatta for maximum impact.

In my masterclasses, I break down these stages so you can replicate them at home or on your own clients. We discuss how to adapt to different lighting, how to set your makeup for high-humidity environments, and how to fix common mistakes on the fly. It is about understanding the 'why' behind every brush stroke.
