About Mastering Floral Hair Accessories
Most people think gajra making is just looping flowers, but the real secret is in the wiring gauge and the painting technique I show you. In my classes, we spend hours getting the Ambada Jaali (hair net) tension right because that is the difference between a loose, messy structure and one that stays perfect throughout a long event.
Mastering the Details
When you learn at my workshop, we move beyond basic gajras. My 15-day course covers the techniques needed for high-end, durable hair accessories that don't wilt. You will learn to manipulate different flower types, use professional wire gauges, and apply finishing sprays that keep the flowers vibrant.
What You Will Learn to Create
- Ambada Jaali: You will practice three different types of floral hair nets, focusing on the precision of the knotting.
- Koli Veni: A staple for the community, I teach you the custom lettering and assembly that makes these pieces look professional.
- Hair Brooches & Tiaras: I teach you my original patterns for lotus, butterfly, and peacock designs. These are not standard shapes, so we work on getting the petal placement exactly right.
- Painting Techniques: Fresh flowers can look better with a touch of color, and I show you the safe ways to paint petals to match outfits without damaging the bloom.
Why My Classes Are Different
This is not a watch-and-learn session. You will be sitting with me in my Kolshet studio, working with your own hands. We don't just cover the pretty stuff; we cover the 'kashta' (hard work) that goes into every piece. By the time you finish, you will know how to build items that are structurally sound, look beautiful, and are ready for real-world events.
Priti Flower Art
I am Priti, and I believe that if you are going to put in the time to learn, you should learn to create work that has its own rubab. In my Kolshet workshop, we do not just copy pictures from the internet, we learn the hard work behind every wire and petal to make sure your art stands out.
