About Wedding Garlands (Varmala)
Getting your varmala right is about more than just the look—it’s about the fragrance and durability. I use a reinforced cotton-rope core for all my heavy designs so they stay sturdy, while keeping the flowers in bud stage so they bloom perfectly as you step onto the mandap. Whether you want a classic white jasmine jaali or a modern orchid fusion, I ensure the garlands hold their shape for every photo.
Choosing your wedding garland is a special moment. I don't believe in mass-producing designs; every pair of Varmalas I create is distinct and handmade in my Thane studio.
The Construction Matters
You might think a garland is just flowers, but it’s an engineering task. If the base isn't strong, the garland snaps. I use a sturdy cotton-core weaving technique for all my heavy-duty designs. This prevents breakage and keeps the weight balanced, even if you opt for elaborate designs with peacock feathers or heavier lotus buds.

The biggest worry with fresh flower garlands is wilting. I use a moisture-retaining packaging method for delivery across Mumbai and Thane. When you open the box, the flowers look just as crisp as they did when I finished weaving them. I select blooms that are at the perfect bud stage—they won't be fully open and fragile, but will bloom naturally during your ceremony.
