Milestone and Sitter Sessions for Your Baby

While newborn photography is all about capturing quiet, sleepy innocence, sitter sessions are a whole different adventure. By six months, your baby is interacting with the world, making faces, and showing off a personality that is entirely their own.

My approach for these milestone sessions is to keep the energy relaxed and the environment safe. I have a variety of props available—baskets, wooden crates, and soft blankets—that help create a stable and comfortable space for your baby to sit. Since this age can be unpredictable, I build plenty of breaks into our time together for feeding, soothing, or just letting them take a breather.

We typically aim for 30 to 45 minutes of active shooting, which is usually the sweet spot for babies this age before they get tired or fussy. Whether you want a clean, minimalist look with neutral backgrounds or a themed setup with flowers and props, we can build a look that matches your style.
