Behind the Scenes of Creative Portrait Photography in Delhi
You see the final photo, but this is how we make the magic happen. From conceptualizing the vibe in raw, unconventional locations to the final color grade on my iPad, this is what goes into every frame.
Hopping on a trend to create some fun, engaging content. This "gudgudahut" reel was a blast to make and shows the playful side of our shoots.
Another take on the "sensations" trend, this time with a completely different retro vibe. It shows how we can adapt a single idea to fit different concepts.
A little before-and-after magic. This reel shows my editing process on my iPad, transforming a great photo into a fully finished, moody portrait.
This is a duplicate of a video, but it shows the countdown graphic, which is a popular reel hook. I'll place the video ID 20 here.
This is a duplicate of a video, but it shows the "understood the assignment" text, a classic social media compliment. I'll place the video ID 22 here.
This is a duplicate of a video, showing the creative editing style with blurs and transitions. I'll place the video ID 39 here.
About The Process: BTS & Reels
I don't just pick a spot and start clicking. Whether it's a junkyard, a busy street, or a broken-down bus, I scout for raw locations that create a stark, cinematic contrast. You will see exactly how I transform these spaces and work with my gear to build the final mood before the retouching even starts.
My process is rarely about just standing in front of a lens. It is a full collaboration. When you see a shoot come together, you are seeing the result of pre-shoot brainstorming where we decide on everything from the specific lighting to the props—like UNO cards or old TVs—that tell your story.
The Gear Behind the Vibe
I shoot with the Sony A7Riii, usually paired with my 85mm f/1.4 GM lens. That specific lens is key for the subject isolation and that dreamy blur you see in my portraits. I use Godox lighting setups to sculpt shadows, ensuring we aren't just relying on natural light, but actively shaping the atmosphere of the scene.
Why the 'Process' Matters
People often ask me about the editing. It is not just about filters. I spend hours working on skin smoothing and color grading on my iPad, making sure the final output feels as raw and real as the moment it was captured. My goal is to move past the cookie-cutter social media posts and create images that actually make you feel that gudgudahut—that ticklish, excited sensation when you see yourself in a way you haven't before.
Whether we are shooting a high-fashion lookbook in a warehouse or an intimate portrait session in your living room, the workflow remains the same: we plan the concept, we chase the right light, and we keep the energy high. If you want portraits that feel like a scene from a movie, let's start planning.

I'm Pranshu. Delhi ki galliyon se, I hunt for the right vibe, not just a pretty face. For me, every photo needs that gudgudahat - some real feeling. We will brainstorm from scratch, drag a chair to a junkyard if we have to, and make magic together.
