I specialize in the classic Maharashtrian 'navri' look, focusing on every detail from the signature Chandrakor bindi to the perfect Nauvari saree drape.

This is a complete look for a beautiful Agri bride. I focused on traditional elements, including the elaborate jewellery and the unique crown, ensuring she looked perfect for her wedding ceremony.

This is a classic Nauvari saree look. I draped the yellow nine-yard saree in the traditional Peshwai style and paired it with a contrasting pink blouse and authentic jewellery for a regal appearance.

An artistic shot of a Maharashtrian bride. The look features a deep maroon saree, traditional gold jewellery, green glass bangles, and the iconic Mundavalya, with a peacock feather for a touch of grace.

This is what I call the 'Marathi Rani Look'. The rich green Paithani saree, heavy gold jewellery, and confident pose all come together to create a look of pure royalty.

A beautiful bride in a traditional yellow and pink Nauvari saree. Her look is completed with a classic Maharashtrian bridal crown, a choker, and a floral bun, ready for her wedding rituals.

A stunning mother of the bride in a traditional Paithani saree. I gave her a glamorous look with bold lips, defined eyes, and a neat floral bun that complemented her heavy gold jewellery.

Another elegant look for the mother of the bride. She is wearing a beautiful silk saree, and I created a soft, glowing makeup look with a traditional bun adorned with fresh gajra.

A side profile showcasing the intricate floral hair bun and jewellery. The hairstyle is decorated with fresh flowers and a traditional 'ambada' pin, essential for a Maharashtrian bride.

This bride is ready for her Haldi ceremony. She is wearing a traditional green and red saree, and I created a fresh, glowing makeup look with simple jewellery to match the occasion.

About Authentic Maharashtrian Brides

Achieving the true Maharashtrian 'navri' look requires more than just foundation. I focus heavily on the placement of the Chandrakor bindi and ensuring the Nauvari saree drape sits correctly for your ceremony. My makeup base is tailored for Indian skin tones to ensure your look stays sweat-proof and fresh throughout the rituals, from the early morning Muhurat to the evening reception.

Whether you are planning a traditional Peshwai wedding or a more modern ceremony, the key to a Maharashtrian bridal look is authenticity. I spend time getting the skin prep right, using hydrating primers so your skin glows without looking oily under harsh event lights.

My approach to the traditional look involves several specific steps:

  • Eye Definition: I focus on bold eyeliner and gold or bronze eyeshadows that complement traditional jewellery like the Nath and Thushi.
  • Hair Styling: The classic Ambada bun is essential. I handle the styling using hair stuffing for volume and secure it with heavy-duty pins so it holds the Mundavalya and fresh Gajra securely all day.
  • Draping: Expert handling of the Nauvari (9-yard) or Paithani (6-yard) saree is a core part of my service. I use professional pinning techniques to ensure your saree stays in place regardless of how many rituals you participate in.

I operate out of my studio in Krishna Nagar, Ulhasnagar, and I also travel to venues across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. Because I am also an educator, I keep my kits updated with the latest long-wear, HD products that photograph well. If you have a specific bridal look in mind, we can discuss your outfit and jewellery during your pre-bridal consultation to ensure everything matches perfectly on your big day.
