Professional Competitive Swimming and Performance Coaching
We don't just teach swimming; we develop athletes. Explore our approach to competitive training, stroke mechanics, and the high-performance culture at PM Swimming Centre.
This is the moment it all begins. Our competitive swimmers launch from the starting blocks, a display of power, precision, and synchronized focus that we cultivate in every training session.
We celebrate our coach Rohit Havaldar's Bronze medal win in the 200m Backstroke at the World Masters Swimming Championship in Japan. This is the level of expertise and dedication that guides our swimmers.
Great coaching is about hands-on guidance. Here, one of our expert coaches works closely with a young swimmer, correcting form and building a strong technical foundation right from the start.
The backstroke start is a blend of explosive power and perfect form. We train our athletes to master every technical detail, turning each start into a race-winning advantage.
Welcome to the PM Swimming Centre. Our expansive, well-maintained pool is the arena where our swimmers train, compete, and push their limits daily under expert supervision.
Our training philosophy extends beyond the water. We incorporate essential dryland conditioning and cross-training to build overall fitness, strength, and resilience in our athletes.
Mastering the butterfly stroke requires a unique combination of strength, rhythm, and technique. This video breaks down the key components we focus on, from the powerful dolphin kick to the coordinated arm movements.
About this collection
At PMSC, our training is built on a specific philosophy: quality over quantity. Instead of just grinding out endless laps, we obsess over stroke mechanics, bilateral breathing, and turn efficiency. Whether you are prepping for a state-level meet or mastering your freestyle for an Ironman, you get personalized drills that break down every movement, ensuring your energy translates into speed and efficiency in the water.
Building a Competitive Edge
We move beyond basic swimming to focus on what actually wins races. Our squad system is divided by intensity and goal, ensuring you are always training with peers who push you to be better.
The Junior Competitive Squad For ages 6-12, this program focuses on building a technical foundation. We introduce pace clock usage, lane etiquette, and basic deck starts. The emphasis here is on mechanical efficiency in all four strokes, not just speed.
Elite Performance Squad This is for the serious competitor. We run high-intensity, 90-120 minute sessions that incorporate dryland conditioning—think core, strength, and mobility work to build explosive power. We monitor reaction times on starting blocks and tailor workouts specifically for sprinters versus distance swimmers.
Masters & Triathlon Training We recognize that adult swimmers have different goals—usually efficiency and endurance. Our programs for triathletes and Masters swimmers focus on freestyle body roll, catch phases, and reducing joint stress. We help you train for race distances like Ironman 70.3 with specialized sessions that fit into early morning or late evening schedules.
Why Train at Jayanagar?
Beyond the coaching, your environment matters. We provide access to a 50m Olympic pool for long-course training, which is essential for simulating race conditions. All our lanes are maintained for uninterrupted training, and our facility follows strict water quality checks.
We believe the process of training—the grind, the early mornings, the recovery—is where the real growth happens. If you are ready to stop just swimming and start training with purpose, come visit us.
