The most important thing to know about 'The Pack Life' is that it is high-energy. My open-hosting setup isn't a passive kennel; it is a social ecosystem where your dog is interacting with others for 8 to 10 hours a day. If your pup gets overwhelmed easily or has a history of resource guarding, this environment might be too much for them. That is exactly why my mandatory 24-hour trial stay isn't just a hurdle—it is how we make sure your dog isn't just surviving, but actually having a blast.
I don't run a kennel. I run a home, and the dogs who stay here are guests in that home. This cluster captures that 'pack energy'—the constant socialization, the supervised play, and the freedom that comes with cage-free living.
Why the Trial Stay is Non-Negotiable
You will notice that I insist on a 24-hour trial stay for every new dog. This is not to be difficult; it is for safety. I need to see how your dog handles the 'pack.' Do they get over-aroused? Do they retreat? Do they challenge others? This assessment tells me if your dog is truly suited for an open-hosting environment or if they would be happier and safer in a different, more solitary setup. I will always be the first to tell you if this isn't the right fit for your pup.
