About Design Details & Plant Styling
Styling is about more than just picking a plant. It is about choosing the right container—like lightweight FRP planters for clean lines or bamboo fencing for natural privacy—and pairing it with the right lighting. When we style a space, we do not just fill it; we balance the texture, light requirements, and the scale of the area so it feels intentional, not cluttered.
Details are what turn a basic balcony or terrace into a finished landscape. Many clients make the mistake of buying plants without considering their pot's durability or how the arrangement will look as the plants mature. Our styling approach fixes that.
Our Approach to Styling
- Material Selection: We prioritize Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) planters for their fade-resistant and frost-proof qualities. They are lightweight enough for balcony load limits while providing a modern, matte aesthetic that stands up to the Delhi climate.
- Privacy & Screening: For terraces overlooked by neighbors, we install bamboo fencing or tall screening plants like Areca palms. These act as a natural, soft barrier that feels warmer than typical metal railings.
- Focal Points: A garden needs a center of gravity. Whether it is a hand-carved stone Buddha statue on a bed of river pebbles or a strategic arrangement of stepping stones, these elements guide the eye and create a calm atmosphere.
- Layering: We design in tiers. By using tall feature plants at the back and lower, flowering foliage or ground covers in front, we maximize the sense of depth in small spaces.
Understanding Light and Scale
We always assess your space's specific light conditions before suggesting plants. A Fiddle Leaf Fig might look great in a magazine, but if your terrace gets harsh direct sun for six hours, it will struggle. We help you choose hardy, ornamental plants that thrive in your actual environment, ensuring your garden stays lush with minimal ongoing effort.
