For our home sessions, we rely on natural window light, so we prefer scheduling between 10 AM and 2 PM to catch the best glow in your living room or bedroom. You do not need a perfectly staged house for this, we just need a quiet corner where you feel most comfortable, whether that is curled up on your couch or standing by a favourite nursery window.
There is a specific kind of honesty that only happens when you are in your own space. Our home lifestyle maternity shoots are designed to move away from stiff poses, focusing instead on the small, unscripted details of your pregnancy journey. We spend three hours with you, giving us enough time to settle in and capture those genuine, quiet moments that feel true to who you are.
What happens during a session
We offer a dedicated Home Lifestyle package that allows for three outfit changes, giving you the freedom to switch between casual home wear and something slightly more special. We provide 25 professionally edited images, focusing on color correction and skin smoothing while keeping the look authentic to the day. We capture the details that matter: the way you rest your hand on your belly, the shared laughs, and the anticipation of your baby's arrival.
Practical details for your shoot
- Timing: We schedule these sessions for 3 hours, allowing plenty of time for outfit changes and breaks.
- Lighting: We prioritize natural window light to keep the atmosphere soft and warm, though we carry portable lighting if your room needs a boost.
- Props: We love incorporating personal elements. Have a pair of baby shoes, an ultrasound photo, or a musical instrument you love? Include them. These details make your maternity photography uniquely yours.
