Ancient forts and sprawling palaces look different when seen from above. I use my drone to capture the quiet scale of heritage sites across India, blending technical precision with the story of the land.

A majestic view of Kumbhalgarh Fort in Rajasthan, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The drone captures the main palace complex perched atop a hill, with its formidable fortification walls snaking through the green landscape.

Another angle of Kumbhalgarh Fort, this time highlighting the winding pathways and terraced structure of the fortifications. This view emphasizes the defensive architecture of the historic Marwari fortress.

A dramatic, wide-angle shot of Kumbhalgarh Fort under a cloudy sky. This perspective showcases the fort's dominance over the surrounding Aravalli hills and captures a sense of its timeless, enduring presence.

An aerial view of Shaniwar Wada in Pune, the historic seat of the Peshwas. The shot reveals the symmetrical layout of the gardens and foundations within the fort walls, nestled in the heart of the modern city.

A higher altitude shot of Shaniwar Wada, providing a broader context of its location within Pune. You can see the fort as a green oasis surrounded by the dense urban environment, with the river and bridges in the distance.

A top-down view of the Sawantwadi Palace in Maharashtra. This symmetrical shot perfectly captures the palace's quadrangle architecture and red-tiled roof, surrounded by the lush greenery of the Konkan region.

The Shri Ashapuri Temple in Edvan, Palghar, captured from above. This image shows the temple's serene, isolated location on a small peninsula, offering a spiritual retreat away from the city.

About this collection

I fly DJI professional drones within legal Green Zones to capture the scale of heritage sites like Kumbhalgarh or Shaniwar Wada. Before we confirm a shoot, I perform a quick flight-path analysis to ensure we comply with local airspace regulations, letting you focus on the story we are capturing.

When you look at a fort like Kumbhalgarh from the ground, you see the walls. From the sky, you see how those walls defend the Aravalli hills. My goal is to bridge that gap. Whether it is the geometric precision of Shaniwar Wada in Pune or the isolated beauty of the Ashapura Mata Temple in Nadol, aerial footage reveals the context often missed by ground cameras.

I operate with a focus on D-Log or 5.1K recording, which gives you raw, high-dynamic-range footage perfect for professional post-production. This is not just about getting a high-altitude shot. It is about the specific maneuver, such as an orbit around a temple spire, a top-down reveal of a palace courtyard, or a slow tracking shot that mimics a walk through a fortress.

For travel and heritage projects, I handle the pre-flight planning, including checking flight feasibility and safety assessments. While I am based in Mumbai, I travel across India for heritage assignments. If you have a specific location in mind, let me know, and we can discuss the best time of day for the light and the shot plan required to tell its story.
