A Day Behind the Wheel: Life as a Pet Taxi Driver

Driving is not just about moving from point A to B. It is about quiet moments, wagging tails, and earning the trust of the little ones who cannot speak for themselves.

This is the real story behind why I started Furry Taxi. My attachment to dogs has been there since childhood. A human can betray you, but a dog never will.

Business me maalik banne se pehle, mazdoor banna padta hai dost. From managing a stall at an event to long hours on the road, this is the hustle behind the passion.

A man loved by a dog is a good man. I truly believe this. The unconditional love I get from these kids is my biggest motivation.

People ask if it's tiring driving all the time. My answer is no, it's peace. Being with these voiceless souls is my therapy.

The thumak thumak puppy version. This little one had the happiest walk during his break on the Delhi to Pune trip.

That look says it all: "Kya re, gaadi chala." These kids have the best attitude and always keep me entertained.

This beagle's face says, "I'm sleepy, but I also need to make sure I get my money's worth from this taxi ride." The struggle is real.

About this collection

I do not believe in using cages. When I pick up your pet, the rear seats of my car are already folded down to create a double-bed space. Whether it is a small pup or a giant breed, they get a flat, comfortable surface with blankets to sleep or watch the world go by. It keeps the environment familiar and reduces anxiety significantly during long drives.

Being a pet taxi driver is often described as a job, but for me, it is pure peace. In a world where people often disappoint, the unconditional love from a dog is the only thing that keeps me going.

The Reality of the Road

My day often starts early, navigating the busy streets of Delhi NCR to get a pet to a vet, a railway station, or a new home. People often ask if the constant driving is tiring. My honest answer is no. It is my therapy. When I am behind the wheel, my priority is not the destination, but the comfort of the passenger in the back seat.

Why I Work This Way

  • No Cages: Cages cause stress. My cars are clean, AC-equipped, and set up like a small living room on wheels.
  • One Family at a Time: I never pool unrelated pets. Your pet gets my undivided attention, ensuring they feel safe and secure throughout the trip.
  • Handling Big Breeds: Whether you have a tiny Indie or a Great Dane, I have the experience to handle different temperaments with patience.

My Philosophy

Business means being a 'malik' (owner) to some, but to me, it means being a 'mazdoor' (worker) first. I handle everything myself—from the driving to the petting and walk breaks.

Also, I believe in giving back. A significant portion of my earnings goes toward feeding stray animals, including cows, dogs, and monkeys. When you book a ride with me, you are not just getting a driver; you are supporting a mission to feed the voiceless. Whether you need a short city ride or a long-distance relocation across India, I am here to make sure your furry friend reaches the destination feeling happy and loved.
