Puppy Portraits: Freshly Groomed Styles & Cuts
Every puppy deserves to feel comfortable and confident. Here is a look at the happy faces and healthy, freshly styled coats we have worked on at our Rajajinagar salon.
A very happy Shih Tzu showing off his fresh puppy cut. This haircut keeps the body hair short and manageable while leaving a cute, rounded shape on the head and face. Look at that smile!
This German Shepherd puppy is sitting proudly after his grooming session. A proper bath and brush-out are essential for this breed to maintain a healthy coat and skin, and he looks fantastic.
This young Siberian Husky is posing beautifully after a full groom. The service focused on de-shedding and tidying up the coat to give a clean, sharp silhouette while maintaining the natural texture of the fur.
An absolutely adorable Husky puppy with striking eyes, looking extra fluffy after a gentle groom. I ensure that even the fluffiest pups get a thorough cleaning and drying for a picture-perfect finish.
This fluffy Chow Chow puppy looks like a little lion after its grooming. I specialize in handling thick double coats, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned, dried, and brushed out to prevent matting and keep the dog comfortable.
Even gentle giants need pampering. This English Mastiff puppy is looking dapper after a full grooming service, which includes a bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning to keep him healthy and handsome.
A collage showing different angles of this Shih Tzu's puppy cut. You can see the clean trim on the body and the happy, open expression on his face, a sign of a positive grooming experience.
About Puppy Portraits: The Finished Look
You will notice the clean lines and fluffy finishes in these portraits, but the real key is the health underneath. We do not just trim for aesthetics. We use a 3-stage hydrobath with imported shampoos to suit your puppy’s specific coat type, ensuring the skin is clean and the fur texture is maintained. This is why the result looks like a doll rather than a simple shave-down.
Grooming for Different Needs
We approach every breed differently because their coats have unique requirements. A Shih Tzu requires precise scissor work to maintain that soft, rounded puppy face, while a Siberian Husky or German Shepherd needs our deep deshedding protocol. We never reach for the clippers immediately; we focus on removing the undercoat to keep them cool and comfortable, which prevents the shedding that often overwhelms pet parents.
The First Experience Matters
For many of these puppies, this was their first visit to a salon. Our priority is desensitization. We include 15 to 20 minutes of acclimatization time where the puppy can sniff the table, get used to the sounds of the high-velocity dryers, and receive treats before any water or scissors touch their fur. This ensures they leave us with a happy tail wag, or as we like to say, sakkath khushi aagutte.
Hygiene and Health
Beyond the visuals, every full groom includes ear cleaning, nail filing, and a sanitary trim. We check the skin condition during the bath to identify any issues early. We use products like Chris Christensen and Hydra because they are gentle on sensitive puppy skin and effective at removing dirt. Whether it is a small breed puppy or a large giant breed, our process is built around one thing: making sure your pet leaves our salon feeling relaxed, clean, and healthy.
