"Art isn’t just a weekend affair." This image of a student's work-in-progress Madhubani Krishna highlights the difference between a short workshop and a structured program that builds real skill and discipline.
Our 2-Day Art Exploration Workshops are a great way to start. You can try one art form like Gond, Madhubani, or Watercolor and complete a piece in just 4 hours.
Our hobby classes are perfect for exploring different art forms, from watercolor to Kalamkari. We provide one-on-one guidance even in a batch setting, allowing you to find your passion.
We are often asked if there is an age limit for our courses. The answer is always no. All you need is dedication and time to embark on this journey, whether you are 30 or 55.
About From Foundation to Certification
A weekend workshop is a spark, but our structured courses are where you actually build the fire. While our 2-day sessions let you experiment with styles like Gond or Madhubani, our foundation and certification programs provide the technical discipline, historical context, and rigorous practice needed to truly master an art form.
Our approach to art is rooted in the tradition where learning is a marathon, not a sprint. We have structured our curriculum into three distinct paths to suit where you are in your artistic journey.
1. Weekend Art Exploration (2-Day Workshops)
Designed for hobbyists and absolute beginners, these sessions are the perfect entry point. We provide all materials, so you simply show up and create a finished artwork in styles like Gond, Madhubani, or Warli over 4 to 5 hours. It is low-pressure, focused on enjoyment, and a great way to see if a particular style resonates with you.
2. Folk Art Foundation Course (2 Months)
For those ready to move past the basics, this 16-session program is where technical rigor begins. We cover the history, mythology, and specific motifs of Madhubani, Kalamkari, and Gond art. You are not just copying patterns; you are learning the grammar of these traditions. Expect to do the work, practice your strokes, and receive personal, one-on-one feedback on every assignment.
3. Advanced Specialist Certification (3 Months)
This is for the serious practitioner. It requires 30 to 35 assignments and culminates in a portfolio that showcases your professional capability. We focus on complex processes, such as the intricate filling techniques of Gond or the multi-step Kalamkari process. Upon completion, you receive a certification that acknowledges your dedication, technical symmetry, and deep understanding of the craft.
Whether you visit our Jayanagar studio for a Saturday workshop or enroll in our certification track, the focus remains the same: steady, honest, and disciplined learning.
