Our first gig as Payana was at Phoenix Marketcity in Bengaluru. The guitar, keyboard and drummer portraits here catch the expressions that happen between the songs as well as during them.
Bengaluru audiences
Christmas celebrations at Forum South Bengaluru brought a crowd right up to the music. At Cafe Socialize's Retro Night, familiar older songs had people singing and dancing together.
A RunAddicts THUMP! promo run in Rajarajeshwari Nagar called for a smaller setup. We played with acoustic guitar, vocals and electronic percussion for the runners.
Songs from the stage
Praveen Bhat's "Munjane Manjali" performance brings a Kannada melody to Phoenix Marketcity. Elsewhere in this collection, "Sadda Haq" gives the lead guitar its moment. "Fitoor" and "Tu Aashiqui Hai" lean into voice and acoustic guitar.
The Silver Show of India brings a different stage and collaborators into the collection. These are distinct performances, with the musicians and setting changing from one show to another.
