Archival Art Framing and Restoration Services
We bring three decades of archival expertise to every frame, ensuring your memories and artwork remain protected for generations to come.
Here in our workshop, generations of expertise come together. Every frame is crafted to last for generations, a principle that has guided our family business from the very beginning.
The journey of a bespoke frame begins with choice. Here, our curator assists a client in navigating our extensive collection of over 100 acid-free mount options, ensuring the perfect color and texture to complement their art.
With over 500 frame mouldings, from simple black to antique gold, the possibilities are endless. Our team is trained to guide you through the selection, helping you find a frame that not only protects your art but also holds value in its own right.
Our gallery is more than a workshop; it is a space of discovery. Clients can browse finished works, explore framing materials, and consult with our team to find the perfect solution for their art and their space.
We are the gallerists, the curators, and the artists. As a family-run gallery, we bring a personal touch and a shared passion for art to every project, continuing a legacy that started in 1987.
We are not just a gallery; we are curators of emotion and legacy. Our founder's vision was to create a bridge between artists and art lovers, a mission our family proudly continues today.
In a world of uncertainty, you can trust us with your most valued possessions. Our gallery stands on a foundation of trust built over decades of serving our clients with integrity and expertise in both art and framing.
Our team is our family. We wish you a Saal Mubarak and a Happy Diwali from all of us at Painted Rhythm Art Gallery, celebrating another year of bringing light and art into your homes.
About From Our Workshop to Your Wall
The biggest difference between a standard frame and one that preserves history is the choice of mounting materials. We use acid-free cotton rag mounts and spacers to ensure your artwork never touches the glass, preventing the chemical yellowing that happens in store-bought frames. It is a small structural detail, but it keeps your piece safe for decades.
Our Approach to Preservation
Framing is the final step in an artwork's journey. Since 1987, our workshop has operated on the belief that a frame should do more than just hold an image; it must act as a barrier against time, humidity, and environmental decay. Whether you are framing a delicate Pattachitra scroll or a modern photographic print, we approach the task with the same commitment to longevity.
Why Archival Framing Matters
Many commercial frames use acidic materials that damage paper over time. We eliminate this risk by using museum-grade methods. This includes:
- UV-Filtering Glazing: We utilize super clear, anti-reflective glass that blocks 99% of harmful UV rays, stopping color fade before it starts.
- Acid-Free Mounting: Every backing board and mount we use is acid-free or cotton rag. This prevents the chemical 'burns' or yellowing often seen on old photographs and prints.
- Non-Invasive Techniques: Your art is never glued or permanently altered. We use reversible mounting methods, such as archival hinges or photo corners, which allow the work to be removed without any damage, maintaining its resale value.
Beyond the Paper
Sometimes, the most precious items are not flat. Our shadow-box framing provides a secure environment for 3D objects, from family medals and heirlooms to luxury textiles. We line these deep-rebate frames with velvet or silk and use custom-fabricated brackets, ensuring your objects are displayed beautifully without stress.
Restoring History
If you have an old frame that has suffered from neglect, we do not need to replace it. We offer restoration services to clean, reinforce, and re-gild damaged frames. By repairing the structural integrity of your existing pieces, we ensure your family memories remain intact.
Painted Rhythm Art Gallery
We are a family of architects and specialists who believe art is meant to breathe on your walls, not just sit in storage. My father started this journey in 1987, and today, we treat every client's piece with the same archival care we give our own collection.
