Custom Pet Portraits on Canvas
Your pets are family, so why keep their best moments only in your phone? I turn your favourite pet photos into hand-painted acrylic portraits, layer by layer, capturing their quirks and personality for your home.
This video shows my process for creating a custom pet portrait. I start with a simple outline and build up layers of paint to create the texture of the fur and the sweet expression of this poodle.
About Custom Pet Portraits
I don't just paint a flat copy of a photo. I start with a pencil sketch and then build up the acrylic layers to capture the texture of your pet's fur and the specific expression in their eyes. Whether it is a small desk-sized piece or a larger wall portrait, I work directly from the photo you share to make sure their character shines through.
How I Create Your Pet's Portrait
Every portrait begins with a conversation about what makes your pet special. You send me a photo, and I start with a rough sketch to map out the features. Once that is approved, I move to professional-grade acrylics on stretched canvas. I focus on semi-realistic details, spending time on the layering process to get the fur texture right.
The Details
- Timeline: Good art needs time. I usually take about 5 to 7 days to complete a portrait because I work in layers and let them dry properly.
- Protection: Every canvas is finished with a coat of clear varnish, so it is protected from dust and the colors stay bright.
- Ready to Hang: Your painting comes on a wooden frame and includes hooks, so it is ready for your wall the moment you unwrap it.
Customisation & Sizes
Whether you need a compact 10-inch piece for your study table or a 16-inch statement portrait for the living room, we can find the right size. If you have an idea that is a bit out of the box—like a doodle style portrait or a specific colourful background—just let me know. I love a creative challenge and I am happy to adjust the style to fit your home.
Upasana Rajpoot
I am Upasana. When I am not buried in law books, I am probably covered in paint, working on my next canvas. I believe every pet has a story, and I love the challenge of translating that into a painting. It is messy, it is honest, and it is always made with a lot of heart.
