This is a complete Haldi ceremony stage I designed. I combined modern geometric panels in purple and orange with traditional yellow seating and lush floral arrangements to create a vibrant, photo-ready backdrop for the main event.
Here is a classic Haldi decor setup I did for a home ceremony. I used bright yellow and green drapes, traditional hangings, and a central low seating area with a decorated chowki inside a large urli, perfect for the rituals.
For a home-based Haldi or Mehndi event, I can create beautiful and simple decor elements like this swing. It is decorated with bright orange and yellow marigold garlands, making it a perfect spot for the bride-to-be to sit and take photos.
About Haldi & Mehndi Setups
When booking your Haldi setup, please note that the large gold Urli requires a flat, stable surface. Since we use a standard 8x8 ft frame for the main backdrop, make sure you have enough wall space cleared before we arrive, and we will take care of the draping, marigolds, and seating setup.
Planning a Haldi or Mehndi ceremony at home can be overwhelming, but getting the decor right should not be stressful. My team and I focus on creating a space that feels festive without taking over your entire living room.
What goes into our setups
- Traditional Vibe: We use yellow and green poly-satin drapes paired with dense marigold garlands to get that classic look.
- The Main Stage: The center point is the ceremonial Urli—a gold-painted fiber bowl—where you sit for the ritual. We add a low-height stool inside to keep it comfortable.
- Adding Personality: If you want something hatke (different), we can incorporate Rajasthani embroidered umbrellas and tassels. For a contemporary feel, I often mix in purple or orange geometric panels to break away from the standard yellow theme.
Logistics and setup
Since we set everything up at your place, we typically need a standard 8x8 ft area for the main backdrop. My team takes about 2-3 hours to assemble everything, so we just need clear access to the space before your guests arrive. If you are planning a Mehndi event, we can also set up swings or seating zones with marigold tassels to create a great photo spot. We bring all the props—from the cutouts to the floral garlands—so you do not have to worry about a thing. Just tell us your theme and we will get it done.
