An event host needs to look the part, but for me, it's about matching the energy of your big day. Whether it's a traditional saree or a chic gown, my outfit helps me connect with the crowd and bring that extra bit of joy to the stage.

About Event-Ready Styles
When I host, I'm constantly moving, jumping on stage, and interacting with guests, so my outfit has to be more than just a look. If I am at a corporate awards night, I go for a formal gown because it keeps things professional while still being vibrant enough to hold attention. For family functions or weddings, I prefer a comfortable saree because it feels authentic and helps me break the ice with the crowd immediately. I keep the styling simple so I can focus on the real work: keeping everyone laughing with Nikki.
My Styling Philosophy
For me, clothes are a tool to set the vibe. You will never see me in something uncomfortable because if I'm worrying about my dress, I'm not focusing on the audience. My goal is to bridge the gap between being a polished host and a relatable performer.
How I Adapt My Look
- Corporate Events: I lean towards gowns or modern, structured outfits. It adds a layer of professionalism needed for award nights or formal conferences while allowing me the freedom to move around and do my ventriloquism sets without a hassle.
- Traditional Functions: A saree is often my go-to. It commands respect during formal segments like lighting the lamp or welcoming dignitaries, but it is also traditional enough to fit right into a wedding reception or a family gathering. I always make sure the drape is secure so I can dance, run games, and engage with the kids.
- Public Shows & College Fests: Here, comfort is king. I pick outfits that look great under stage lights but are durable enough for high-energy crowd work.
Why it Matters
At the end of the day, an event is about the people. If I show up looking like I am ready to have fun, the guests feel comfortable opening up and participating. I always perform a quick 'stage test' in my outfit before the show starts to ensure I can handle the mic stand, the puppet, and the crowd interaction without any wardrobe malfunctions. My makeup is kept light and fresh, because no one likes a host who looks too stiff or overly formal.
