Stop guessing your edits and learn how to actually use Lightroom. From color grading to masking, I'll show you how to get your shots looking right without overdoing it.

A screenshot of the Color Mix panel in Lightroom. This is one of the most powerful tools for creative color grading. I'll teach you how to adjust individual colors to change the entire mood of your photo without making it look fake.

This is the Tone Curve, a fundamental tool for controlling contrast and color tones. I'll demystify how it works, showing you how to create a simple S-curve to add punch to your images or make more complex adjustments for a unique style.

A look at the Basic Settings panel in Lightroom. We'll start here, learning how to properly fix exposure, recover details from shadows and highlights, and set a solid foundation before moving on to more creative edits.

Understanding your camera settings is the first step to a great photo. I'll teach you what ISO, Aperture (F-stop), and Shutter Speed mean and how they work together so you can move beyond auto mode and take full creative control.

About Editing Deep Dives

I keep my sliders under 30 because I hate that plastic, over-edited look that ruins good photos. When we sit down together, we won't just talk theory. We take your own RAW images and fix them in real-time, focusing on tools like masking and the tone curve to get your photos looking natural but punchy.

Editing is 50 percent of the shot, but people make it way more complicated than it needs to be. In these sessions, we cut through the noise of complex tutorials. We focus on getting you comfortable with the tools that actually matter.

What we actually cover:

  • The Color Mix Panel: We learn how to shift individual colors to set a mood without making the photo look fake.
  • The Tone Curve: I demystify the 'S' curve. It is the secret to adding contrast without crushing your blacks or losing detail in the shadows.
  • Masking: This is how you stop editing the whole photo and start editing just your subject. We use radial and linear gradients to direct the viewer's eye.
  • Exposure Recovery: We look at your histograms. If you underexposed a shot, we learn how to save it properly rather than just cranking the exposure slider and adding noise.

The Vibe

This is not a corporate workshop. We grab a coffee at a cafe in South Delhi like Satya Niketan or CP, or we jump on a call if you are busy. You bring your laptop or tablet with Lightroom, and we work through 2 or 3 of your own RAW files. My goal is to build you a reusable preset based on your own style so you can save time later. If you are stuck or just feel like you are not getting the results you want, bring those files. We will figure it out together.

I’m Nikhil, a student in Delhi just trying to figure out photography one frame at a time. I’m not here to lecture you on theory, just to share how I mess around with Lightroom until it looks good.
