A solo thematic Bharatanatyam recital depicting the spiritual pilgrimage to Tirumala, performed with the grace of the Thanjavur Bani tradition.

A moment of complete surrender from my solo thematic production, "Venkatesha Shreesha." Here, I portray a devotee's final arrival at the holy abode of Tirumala, a culmination of a long spiritual journey.

An excerpt from "Venkatesha Shreesha," where I use abhinaya, or expressive storytelling, to convey the emotions of a devotee seeing the Lord. The performance is elevated by the live Carnatic orchestra.

A close up capturing the essence of Bhakti, or devotion, a central theme in my recitals. The subtle expression and hand gestures are key to conveying the intricate stories and emotions of the characters I portray on stage.

A moment of storytelling from "Venkatesha Shreesha," where the hand gesture, or mudra, signifies a question to the divine. The vibrant red costume symbolizes devotion and spiritual energy.

A full-stage view of a dynamic pose during the Natyanjali Festival in Coimbatore. This image captures the grace and expansive movement that defines the Thanjavur style of Bharatanatyam.

A close up detail showing the 'Katakamukha' mudra, often used to depict holding flowers or speaking. This moment from "Venkatesha Shreesha" is filled with delicate expression.

Anjali mudra, a gesture of reverence, performed during the Natyanjali Festival. This pose signifies offering my respects to the deity, the Guru, and the audience.

About this collection

For this recital, we focus heavily on the abhinaya, the art of storytelling through expression, to guide you through the devotee’s emotional journey to Tirumala. Whether you choose a solo performance with recorded tracks for an intimate setting, or the full, immersive experience with our live four-piece Carnatic ensemble, the choreography remains strictly rooted in the Thanjavur Bani lineage.

The beauty of 'Venkatesha Shreesha' lies in its ability to transport the audience to the holy abode of Tirumala through a blend of pure dance, known as Nritta, and expressive storytelling, known as Abhinaya. To capture the authentic aura of this spiritual pilgrimage, I perform with a four-piece Carnatic orchestra. The presence of live vocals, mridangam, flute, and nattuvangam provides a resonance that recorded tracks simply cannot replicate. For intimate events or corporate openers, I also offer a streamlined version of this recital, performed to high-quality studio-recorded music while maintaining the same costuming and artistic standards. My team is based in Bengaluru, but we travel extensively for Sabhas and festivals across India. We ensure that the visual presentation, from the heavy traditional temple jewelry to the fresh flower hair arrangements, is as meticulous as the performance itself. If you are looking for a performance that honors tradition while bringing a deeply personal narrative to the stage, let us connect to discuss your requirements.
