Global Soundclash: Live DJ Sets
Where Bollywood meets Amapiano and Carnatic rhythms hit Dancehall. This is my live playground—blending global beats with the Desi sound to keep the dancefloor moving.
Catching my friend off guard with this Chris Brown and Raghav blend at No Nazar. Those moments of surprise on the dancefloor are what it's all about. This is an unreleased blend of 'Run It' and 'Can't Get Enough'.
This is the vibe when Bollywood meets Afrobeats. The flow of this unreleased track is just perfect for the dancefloor. It’s all about creating those smooth transitions that keep the energy high.
Sometimes the best moments are unplanned. This live transition from a Giddha beat into the Afrobeats track 'Shake Body' was a random idea that just worked perfectly and got me hyped.
This is what I call the AfroDesi national anthem. The blend of Jazzy B's 'Dil Luteya' with Burna Boy's 'Gbona' is a certified classic in my sets. It’s a perfect fusion of Punjabi and Afrobeats energy.
The combination of Jamaican Dancehall and Indian sounds is always a winner. This clip from AFRODESI LDN shows just how well the two cultures vibe together on the dancefloor.
A little game of 'who knows this flute?' during my set. This is a sneak peek of a Bollywood vs Afrobeats edit I've been working on. The iconic flute melody over an Afro rhythm is a combination I need to drop soon.
A live Amapiano blend of the Arabic classic 'Sidi Mansour'. The private school Amapiano sound fits so well with this melody. I'll definitely need to produce a full remix of this one soon.
The Desi and Dancehall combination never fails to get the party going. This is a clip from my 'DESI HALL VOL. 1' mix, which is available to stream on YouTube and SoundCloud.
Dropping my Amapiano remix of 'Pump Up The Jam' live. I had just produced this a few days before the show and knew I had to test it out. The energy from the crowd was amazing.
This was the scene at No Nazar London. The energy was unreal. Here's a clip of me dropping my unreleased 'Tumbi Piano' track, blending a classic Punjabi instrument with Amapiano log drums.
About Global Soundclash: Live DJ Sets
When I'm on the decks, I don't stick to a rigid playlist. It’s all about reading the room and finding that unexpected pivot—like dropping a Giddha beat right into an Afrobeats track. If you're looking for a set that breaks the mold and keeps people guessing, that’s where the AfroDesi energy comes in.
My live sets are less about just playing music and more about a global soundclash that bridges the gap between South Asia and South Africa. I’ve spent years refining this fusion—blending Bollywood, Bhangra, and Tamil Kuthu with the heavy percussion of Amapiano and the rhythmic energy of Dancehall.
Why AfroDesi Sets work
- Unpredictable Energy: Whether I'm spinning in London or NYC, I focus on 'wild switch-ups.' Expect live percussion moments where I bring the tabla into the mix.
- Harmonic Fusion: It’s not just about beat-matching. I use harmonic mixing to ensure the Carnatic melodies sit perfectly over UK Garage or Afrobeats patterns.
- Tailored for the Floor: I read the vibe. If the room needs high-tempo energy, we pivot to my Bollypiano edits. If it's time to chill, we slow it down with intimate, groove-heavy sessions.
My Approach to Live Mixing
I build these sets around the 'SA 2 SA' philosophy. It is about respect for the original sound—whether that’s a classic Jazzy B track or a Vybz Kartel record—and finding the common frequency where they coexist. From 'Desi Hall Vol. 1' to my unreleased experiments, every transition is designed to create a moment. If you want a DJ who understands the cultural roots of the music but isn't afraid to flip it into something new, let’s talk.
