Behind the Lens: My Documentary Photography Process
People often ask how I catch the chaos of a festival or the quiet of a prayer. Here is the reality—it is all about patience, movement, and being in the right spot at the right time.
Me with a telephoto lens, focused on capturing a distant subject. This is typical for my wildlife or candid street photography work.
A head on shot of me looking through the viewfinder. My camera is an extension of my eye, helping me find the story in any scene.
Here I am shooting macro photography, getting up close to capture the tiny details of nature. Every subject, big or small, has a story.
A shot from behind, showing me at work. My camera and I are always on the move, searching for the next frame.
A fun, behind the scenes moment where the photographer gets photographed. This shows the casual and collaborative nature of my shoots.
About Behind The Lens
You won't find me directing stiff poses or creating artificial scenes. My approach is strictly observational, as I rely on being a fly on the wall. I use gear that lets me move quickly without disturbing the natural flow of your ritual or celebration.
Photography for me is not just about the click. It is about the suffer2safar, the effort it takes to get that raw, authentic shot. During a wedding or a home puja, I am constantly looking for the space between the action. I use a mix of candid street techniques and documentary framing to tell your story.
I do not carry bulky lights that kill the mood. I work with available light and portable LED sticks when necessary to keep the vibe intact. Whether I am shooting a 12-hour festival day or a 4-hour home ceremony, my goal is the same. I capture life exactly as it happens. You get the laughter, the heavy emotions, and the quiet moments, all edited with true-to-life colors that do not look over-processed. I spend a lot of time on each frame because these stories deserve that care.
