I do not rely on heavy, pre-made studio sets that look the same for every client. For these themed sessions, I prefer blending your own cherished festive decor with simple, clean props that I bring along. This approach keeps your baby relaxed in familiar surroundings, whether we are shooting at your home in Andheri or outdoors in a Juhu garden, ensuring the focus stays on your child's natural reactions.
How We Plan Your Theme
Every child has a unique personality, and these shoots are designed to highlight that. We start with a brief conversation about the concept. If you have a specific idea like a fairy-tale setting or a traditional cultural look, I help coordinate the lighting and small details to make it work.
Why At-Home Sessions Work Best
For most festive minis, especially with babies or toddlers, home is the best place to be. Your child is already comfortable, their favorite toys are nearby, and they are usually happier. We skip the travel stress and the restrictive environment of a studio. This allows us to capture those raw, messy, and candid moments that happen when they are just being themselves, whether they are playing with a cake or discovering holiday ornaments for the first time.
My Approach to Props and Decor
I believe props should tell a story, not distract from the child. I use minimalist elements like fresh flowers, soft fabric textures, or simple festive items to build a scene. If you have a family heirloom, a special blanket, or a handmade Christmas decoration, bring it along. These personal touches add layers of meaning to the final images that generic props simply cannot replicate.
Booking a Session
These sessions are perfect for documenting fleeting ages, from the first time they sit up to their first festival. Because these are often seasonal or milestone-based, I recommend booking at least two weeks in advance, particularly for weekends in Mumbai. This gives us enough time to discuss the theme and ensure we have everything ready for a smooth, stress-free shoot.
