About Outdoor Birthday Stories
These sessions are short, usually 30 to 40 minutes, because that is all the time needed to capture genuine delight without exhausting your little one. We skip the forced smiles and let them explore, climb, and play, so the photos show their true personality at this specific age.
When I photograph a birthday, my goal is to document who your child is right now. Are they a climber, a dancer, or a quiet observer of nature? By heading to a public park or garden in Mumbai, we create a playground rather than a studio. This environment gives children the freedom to move, which is essential for candid photography.
I rely on natural light and the rhythm of your child. If they want to stop and look at a leaf or chase a bird, we do that. These small, unscripted moments are where the real magic happens. Because the session is quick, kids do not get bored or grumpy, and parents get to relax knowing they do not have to 'manage' their child for hours.
My approach is simple:
- No studio lighting: I use only natural, soft window or sunlight.
- No props overload: Your child's favorite toy or a simple balloon is usually enough.
- Focus on movement: I encourage running, swinging, and jumping.
After our session, you receive a gallery of high-resolution images that are professionally retouched but still look like your real life. You also get a physical polaroid print, a little keepsake to hold immediately.
