When you walk into the studio, we don't just pick a size off a rack. We look at the fabric, discuss the cut, and decide if you need salli pipe work or clean, sharp lapels for your event. You get a raw stitch trial before the final piece is sewn, so the fit is exactly what you imagined.
Every piece featured here represents how I approach the process at Modfit. Whether you need a wedding tuxedo that stands out in photos or a sharp suit for a formal event, the goal is the same: an outfit that fits you perfectly.
My Approach to Custom Work
I don't believe in off-the-rack sizing. Instead, I focus on the construction of the garment. For my tuxedos and ceremonial suits, I use high-sheen fabrics with satin-faced lapels to give you that sharp, finished look. If you are aiming for something more detailed, I incorporate heavy surface ornamentation like katdana beadwork or geometric salli pipe textures. This work is labour-intensive and requires a minimum 15 to 20 day lead time, but it ensures your jacket is unique to you.
The Fitting Process
Precision is key to my process in Dadar. For standard suits, we look at durable Terry-Rayon blends with fused construction for daily wear. For the more elaborate reception or wedding pieces, we move to premium wool blends with moderate shoulder padding to maintain a structured silhouette. We always conduct a raw stitch trial before finalising the garment, ensuring the trousers and jacket sit exactly where they should. You tell me the vibe you are going for, and I guide you through the fabric choices and embroidery details to make it happen.
