The Art of Detail: My Mehndi Process
Mehndi is more than just a pattern. It is hours of steady lines, patient sketching, and careful application. Here is a look at the precision and the all-natural henna that goes into every design I create.

About The Art of Detail: Behind the Scenes
I do not use stencils for my portraits or architectural designs. I sketch every line freehand using a 0.38mm fine-tip cone, which allows me to capture the tiny facial features and sharp, clean geometric lines that standard methods simply cannot achieve.
Precision in Every Stroke
When you see a finished bridal design, it is easy to overlook the steps that got it there. My process begins with a conversation about what you want to see on your hands, whether it is a proposal scene, a pet, or a traditional palace motif. Once we have a plan, I start with a clean outline. This is the most crucial phase. A shaky line at the start will show in the final stain, so I take my time to get the proportions of faces and the symmetry of motifs perfect.
The Importance of Natural Henna
I only use all-natural, triple-sifted Rajasthani Sojat henna. Because it is free from harsh chemicals, the texture is different. It requires a steady hand and specific pressure to release the paste consistently. You will notice in my process that I apply a lemon-sugar sealant as I work. This keeps the henna moist, allowing the lawsone dye molecule to penetrate deeply into your skin for that dark, rich stain everyone wants.
Customization and Care
Every piece of jewelry or symbol I add is deliberate. If we are doing a portrait, I map out the facial features first to ensure the expression is recognizable. For larger pieces, I work in sections to ensure the flow of the design remains consistent from your fingertips to your elbows or feet. After the application, I provide an aftercare kit and specific instructions. The stain you see in my gallery is the result of my technique combined with proper aftercare. If you are looking for mehndi that is not just stamped on but carefully crafted, I would love to work with you.
