Puppy Foundation Training and Socialization
The first few months of a puppy's life shape their entire personality. I help you build a confident, well-mannered companion through foundation training that focuses on real-world exposure and gentle trust-building.
Socialization is more than just meeting other dogs. Here, I'm introducing Noor, a young Husky puppy, to various surfaces and objects to build her confidence and adaptability from a young age.
This sweet puppy was abandoned outside a friend's home. The first thing we do is assess their temperament and provide a safe, structured environment while we work on basic manners like sitting calmly for attention.
Look at the affection this little one is showing. Even with an unknown past, a gentle and patient approach helps build trust and shows their true, sweet personality.
We introduce rescued puppies to our team one by one to avoid overwhelming them. This little guy is already showing his friendly nature and learning to be comfortable around new people.
About Puppy Essentials: Building a Great Foundation
My approach starts with sensory desensitization, not just basic commands. Whether it’s walking on wobbly surfaces, exploring metal drain covers, or navigating uneven ground, we expose your puppy to the city's chaotic textures now so they don't develop fears later. This is the difference between a puppy that panics at a metal grate and one that walks over it with confidence.
Why Foundation Matters
Most people think puppy training is about getting a dog to sit or stay. That comes later. At the 'Puppy Foundation' stage, my priority is the brain. We are building resilience. A puppy that hasn't seen the world is a puppy that will likely develop anxiety, fear aggression, or reactivity later in life.
What We Cover
We focus on the non-negotiables that make living with a dog peaceful:
- Toilet Training: We establish a rigorous schedule to imprint habits early.
- Crate Conditioning: This isn't about locking them up. It's about creating a safe space that reduces separation anxiety, which is a major issue I see in adult dogs I rehabilitate.
- Bite Inhibition: Puppies have sharp teeth and zero impulse control. We teach them how to use their mouths gently, so playing doesn't turn into a painful experience for you.
- Sensory Exposure: As I do with all my puppies, we introduce things like metal lids, plastic chairs, and different terrains. This builds the confidence they need to handle the unpredictable environment of Mumbai.
The Human Element
I can train your puppy to be perfect in my facility, but if you don't know how to handle them, it falls apart at home. That's why the 'Owner Handover' is a mandatory part of my program. I show you exactly what your pup has learned and guide you on how to maintain it. You aren't just getting a trained puppy; you're getting the tools to be a better leader for your dog.

I'm Mitali, and I've been working with dogs since I was 19—my life is quite literally defined by these dogs. I don't believe in cookie-cutter training; I look at your puppy’s unique personality to create a foundation that actually works for your family's life.
