Salsa Partner Dancing: Master Connection and Rhythm
Salsa is more than just steps; it's about connecting with your partner and the music. Whether you're diving into On1 or On2, I'll help you find your flow.
This is what it's all about. A fun, spontaneous social dance with the incredible Terry Alianza. My goal is to get you comfortable enough to enjoy moments just like this, connecting with the music and your partner.
Not every dance is perfect, but every dance can be perfectly enjoyable. Here's a fun moment from a social where a little miscommunication ended in a laugh. We embrace the goof ups because that's part of the fun and learning process.
A great rehearsal session with another talented dancer. This is an example of a fun, collaborative process, working on a Salsa On2 workshop routine and syncing our movements together.
A high-energy social dance with a champion. This is the kind of fun and flavor we aim for on the dance floor, where both partners are in sync and enjoying the music.
A fun salsa combo with a favorite Salsera, complete with a cute switch at the end. This shows the playful side of partner dancing and how you can switch roles between leading and following.

A glimpse of the energy at a La-Afro Vacay precursor event. This is what a packed social dance floor looks like, full of connection and great music.
About this collection
I run our group sessions with a partner-rotation system, so you never need to bring a dance partner to join. You’ll practice with everyone in the room, which is actually the quickest way to learn how to adapt your lead or follow to different dancing styles and heights.
Building Your Partner Connection
When we talk about Salsa, the magic is in the connection. I teach both Salsa On1 and On2, so you get the foundation you need to dance comfortably at any social event. We focus heavily on clear lead-and-follow mechanics. If you're a leader, I'll teach you how to be decisive without being heavy. If you're a follower, we'll work on sensitivity to those leads so you can move smoothly, regardless of your partner's experience level.
Why Partner Rotation Works
Many students come in worried they'll be stuck with a partner they can't read. By rotating during class, you learn to adapt. You get comfortable dancing with different body types, heights, and energy levels. It is the difference between memorizing a routine and actually learning how to dance in the real world.
Getting Social-Ready
My goal is to get you confident enough to walk into a club, hear the music, and just enjoy it. We don't just drill steps until you are bored. We cover musicality, how to interpret the rhythm, and the social etiquette that makes dance floors fun for everyone. We also encourage women to lead and men to follow, because understanding both sides of the dance makes you a better dancer overall.
Whether you are looking for a structured 8-week course or just want to drop in for a session to get your feet moving, there is a space for you here.
