Featured Work & Highlights
From prime-time reality TV sketches to character roles in Kannada cinema, here is a glimpse at the different personas I bring to life.
For the show 'Hoo Antiya, Huhoo Antiya' on Star Suvarna, I got into this full-body Avatar look. It took many hours of makeup and patience, but it was chindi fun to do something so different on Kannada television.
Paying tribute to our legends like Rebel Star Ambareesh sir and Shankar Nag sir on Dance Karnataka Dance was a special moment. Combining my mimicry with dance is a challenge I truly enjoy.
This is the poster for my film 'Rangasamudra'. It felt very good to be part of such a great movie and play a strong character role. The film was released on January 12, 2024.
On the sets of the movie 'Bhageera' with the one and only Prakash Raj sir. It is always a learning experience to work with such guru hiriyaru. I play the role of a swamiji in this film.
A promotional poster for the battle round on Zee Kannada's Dance Karnataka Dance. The energy and competition on this stage are amazing, and I am happy to be a part of it with my partner Seema.
Here I am in my police uniform for the movie 'Room No. 111'. I enjoy playing these serious, disciplined characters as much as I love doing comedy. This was for a Kannada and Telugu bilingual film.
I am humbled and grateful to receive the 'Vishwa Shresta Kannadiga' award in Malaysia. It is a great honour to be recognized for my work as a mimicry artist by Sudha Ventures and the Karnataka Government.
About this collection
People often ask how I manage to shift from comedy sketches to serious film roles. It comes down to the preparation, like the hours spent on prosthetics for my Avatar look or studying mannerisms for my tribute acts on dance shows. I love the transformation, and I bring that same dedication to every project I take on, whether it is for a movie set or a live stage event.
Acting is my way of connecting with the janate (people) through a laugh or a story. Whether I am doing mimicry on Maja Talkies or playing a swamiji in a film, I give my full energy to the performance.
My work ranges from the lighthearted to the technical. On television, I have had the chance to do everything from full-body makeup transformations for shows on Star Suvarna to paying tribute to legends like Ambareesh sir and Shankar Nag on Dance Karnataka Dance.
In cinema, I enjoy the challenge of playing different characters. I have taken on serious roles, like the police inspector in Room No. 111, which was released as a bilingual Kannada and Telugu film. I also had the opportunity to work alongside Prakash Raj sir in Bhageera, which was a great learning experience. Every project, from my recent work in Rangasamudra to my small screen cameos, is a chance to sharpen my craft.
I am also deeply grateful for the recognition my work has received, such as the Vishwa Shresta Kannadiga award I was honoured with in Malaysia. Whether it is a film shoot, a reality show appearance, or a live event, my goal remains the same: to make you smile and to ensure the performance resonates. Nodi, harasi, haraisi.
