These images are my most cherished moments in the wild—each one a story of patience, light, and the raw beauty of nature.

This is the kind of moment that makes all the patience worthwhile. I captured this extreme close-up of a tiger in Tadoba, focusing on its mesmerizing blue eyes which are a rare trait. For me, this isn't just a portrait; it's a window into the wild, untamed spirit of the jungle's top predator.

In the pouring rain at Kanha National Park, I found this magnificent Barasingha, or swamp deer. He had been decorating his antlers with grass, a behavior seen during the rut. This shot captures his raw, majestic presence against the moody, atmospheric backdrop of the monsoon.

At Sambhar Lake, the evening light created a perfect mirror on the water. I photographed this flock of flamingos as they engaged in their courtship rituals, their pink hues creating a vibrant line against the deep blue of the water and sky. It’s a moment of pure symmetry and natural art.

This was a truly magical encounter. I framed this spotted owlet against a full moon to create a sense of mystery and wonder. It’s a more creative composition that aims to capture the silent, watchful nature of this nocturnal bird, making it feel like a character from a forest fairytale.

This is the famous Roma tigress from Tadoba Tiger Reserve, captured during one of her confident patrols. The head-on walk is one of the most sought after shots in tiger photography, and it conveys the sheer power and grace of these animals. It’s a privilege to witness and document such moments.

Capturing the sheer speed and agility of blackbucks is always a challenge. I shot this pair in mid-air as they gracefully leaped across a dirt track. This image freezes a split second of incredible athleticism and joy, showcasing the dynamic energy of the Indian grasslands.

The Dhanuri wetlands are a haven for birds, and the purple heron is one of its most elegant residents. I captured this one in a dynamic landing pose, with its wings spread wide and its unique colors on full display. This action shot highlights the bird's grace and the vibrant life of the wetlands.

This is the moment a white-throated kingfisher hits the water, a spectacle of speed and precision. Capturing the splash and the bird's focused dive required perfect timing and a fast shutter speed. It’s a testament to the incredible hunting skills of these small, colorful birds.

There's nothing like a sunrise in Kanha. I waited for the perfect moment when the golden sun rays pierced through the morning mist and the dense Sal forest. This image isn't just a landscape; it’s about the mood, the atmosphere, and the promise of a new day in the jungle.

The peacock's courtship dance is one of nature's greatest displays. Here, a male shows off his magnificent train of feathers to a seemingly unimpressed peahen. This photograph tells a complete story of behavior, beauty, and the timeless rituals of the animal kingdom.

About Featured

Getting these shots is rarely about luck; it is about being in the forest hours before sunrise. I shoot with the Nikon Z9 and Sony Alpha 1 because, in the wild, you often get only one chance at that perfect frame. Whether it is tracking the Roma tigress in Tadoba or waiting for a kingfisher mid-dive, my focus remains on ethical distance and natural behavior, never forcing the shot.
