A collection of moments defined by patience, adrenaline, and a deep connection with nature. From the wild lions of Gir to the hidden birdlife in our wetlands, these are the frames that keep me going.

A pride of young Asiatic lions resting in the golden morning light of Gir National Park. This quiet moment, away from the hunt, shows the powerful, serene presence of India's last wild lions.

A lesser flamingo rises above the flock, its wings spread wide in a display of dominance and grace. This shot captures the dynamic energy of the thousands of flamingos that visit Navi Mumbai's wetlands.

Many believe lions only roam in Africa, but this video tells a different story. Welcome to Gir National Park, the only kingdom of the Asiatic Lion, where royalty walks wild and free right here in India.

The Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, a tiny jewel of the forest, proudly displays its catch. Capturing this vibrant bird, with its rainbow plumage and a lizard in its beak, required hours of stillness and patience.

An Intermediate Egret steps gracefully through the water as the sunrise paints the entire scene in gold. This is the magic of the golden hour in Navi Mumbai, where ordinary moments become extraordinary.

The male Fan-throated Lizard puts on a spectacular show, displaying its vibrant blue and orange dewlap. I traveled to the grasslands of Pune to capture this tiny showstopper during its breeding season.

In the deep darkness of the forest, a Common Kingfisher appears like a bolt of blue brilliance. This minimalist, moody portrait highlights the bird's electric color against the shadows.

This is what a 7 AM in Navi Mumbai looks like for me. While the city sleeps, I am out chasing golden skies, calm waters, and the wild surprises that nature has to offer.

About Featured

Getting these shots isn't about fancy gear; it is about being in the right place before the sun comes up. Most of these frames were captured by lying flat in the mud or waiting hours for a specific behavioral trigger, like a kingfisher's dive or a lion's yawn. If you are looking to start or improve your own wildlife photography, I teach these specific field techniques and ethical practices during my weekend workshops.

This cluster is a look at what truly drives my practice. From the Asiatic lions of Gir to the urban flamingos of Navi Mumbai, my work revolves around waiting for the light and understanding animal behavior. I do not believe in 'luck' shots. When I am out with my Nikon, I am analyzing tide levels at TS Chanakya or waiting for that exact golden hour light that turns a common egret into a dramatic silhouette.

Whether I am shooting a rare reptile in Pune or a kingfisher near my home, the goal is always to reveal the wildness that exists right beside our concrete jungles. I have built my photography workshops around accessibility. I want others to experience this 'meditation' that I find in the wild. My sessions focus on the real stuff: handling high ISOs in dark forests, noise reduction, and fieldcraft. Nature photography should never disturb the subject, so I emphasize non-intrusive approach techniques.

If you connect with these images, it means you see the value in preserving these spaces, too. I document to protect, and I hope this portfolio encourages you to look closer at the wildlife in your own backyard.
