I believe mehendi is more than just patterns; it is a canvas for your memories. From couple portraits to personalized love stories, I create intricate henna art that is uniquely yours.

This design was a special request, featuring a portrait of Lord Hanuman on the palm and Lord Shiva with Parvati on the forearm, representing faith and devotion.

About Custom Portrait & Storytelling Mehendi
When you choose a portrait design, I usually need your reference photos at least a week before your function. This gives me time to sketch the likeness, study the features, and ensure the shading comes out crisp on your skin. If you have a specific pose in mind, like a proposal moment or a favorite travel snapshot, share that early so we can plan the placement around your palm's natural lines.
Bringing Your Story to Life
Drawing faces and stories is where I feel most creative. Whether it is a couple portrait for an engagement, a baby shower design featuring tiny feet, or even a deity portrait for a festival like Ganesh Chaturthi, I focus on capturing the details that matter to you.
My Process
- Consultation: We start by discussing your theme. Whether it is 'Putani Loading' or a Karwa Chauth scene, I want to know what this design means to you.
- Reference Photos: For realistic portraits, high-quality images with clear lighting are essential. I use these to map out the facial structure and expressions before I even touch the henna cone.
- Placement: I advise on where to place your portraits for the best visibility. Engagement portraits often work best on the center of the palms, while festival deities can be placed on the forearm for more space.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take? Portrait and storytelling mehendi is an intensive process. Depending on the complexity, it can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. I encourage clients to book in advance so we have enough time to perfect the details without rushing.
Is the henna safe? I use only organic, skin-safe henna cones for all my work, which is especially important for baby shower and maternity mehendi. My goal is to ensure a deep, natural stain that develops beautifully over 48 hours without any irritation.
Can I add text or dates? Absolutely. I frequently incorporate wedding dates, hashtags, and names into the border patterns surrounding the main portraits to make the design truly one of a kind.
