Har Har Mahadev. This video shows a Lord Shiva figure design on the palm. I teach the specific techniques needed to draw his meditative posture, the Trishul, and other symbolic elements with accuracy and devotion.
We start our journey with figures by practicing on paper. Here is a complete Ganpati Bappa design, where I teach students how to master the form, shading, and intricate details before applying them to skin. Ganpati Bappa Morya.
This practice piece shows the creation of a powerful goddess figure. My figure work module covers how to draw dynamic poses, flowing hair, and symbolic items like the trishul, set against a detailed temple backdrop.
About Deities & Divine Art
We start by breaking down complex forms on paper, not skin. You will learn to map out faces using the golden ratio and master the pressure control needed for delicate deity features before ever picking up a cone for a real application. This focus on fundamentals ensures your final work on skin is clean, accurate, and full of expression.
Divine figure work is the most challenging and rewarding part of mehendi art. In my Advanced Figure and Portrait Masterclass, I teach you how to move beyond basic filler patterns and create storytelling designs.
My Approach to Divine Art
Whether you are drawing Lord Shiva, Ganpati, or Shri Ram, the key is respect and precision. I focus on these technical areas:
- Face Mapping: Using the golden ratio to get eye, nose, and lip placement right so the face looks balanced.
- Pressure Control: This is everything. You need to switch from thin lines for jewelry detail to bold strokes for clothing and temple backgrounds.
- Body Language: I teach you how to capture a deity in a meditative pose or a dynamic action stance without losing the grace of the figure.
Training Structure
We do not jump straight into skin. We use sketching paper first. This allows you to practice the anatomy and facial expressions until you feel confident. Once the lines are clean on paper, we move to skin application. I provide one-on-one feedback on your work, correcting your proportions and shading technique until your figures look professional.
Whether you want to specialize in bridal portraits or bring divine figures into your standard mehendi service, this course gives you the tools to create work that stands out. If you are ready to put in the practice, I am here to guide you through it. Har Har Mahadev.
