About Lips, Cheeks & Glow
Stop reaching for your brushes when applying cream blush. The warmth of your fingers is the best tool you have to blend product into the skin for a seamless, radiant finish. Brushes can soak up too much pigment, but your hands will give you that 'lit from within' glow every single time.
Ditch the Brushes
Most cream products are designed to melt with body heat. When you use a brush or sponge, you often lift the product off rather than melting it into your base. My rule? If you want that 'no-makeup' makeup look, use your ring finger to dab and blend. It’s faster, cleaner, and the finish is significantly more natural.
The 'Real Skin' Glow
We talk a lot about 'glow' in the beauty industry, but usually, that just means piling on metallic powder highlighters. That doesn't work on textured skin. Instead, focus on:
- Cream-based products: They don't settle into pores or fine lines like powder formulas.
- Hydration first: Your base needs to be prepped properly, or no amount of highlighter will save you.
- Strategic placement: Apply your shine to the high points of the face, not everywhere. A little goes a long way.
Lipstick Truths
I get asked constantly about lipsticks that don't dry out your lips. Here is the secret: prep your lips the night before. If you have cracked, dry lips, no lipstick—no matter how high-end—will look good. Find a formula that is pigmented but comfortable. If you find a shade you love but it feels too matte or drying, try mixing it with a tiny bit of lip balm. It changes the texture without ruining the color payoff.
Everything I teach is about making you feel confident in your own skin, not hiding it under layers of product. If you have questions about specific shades or want to know if that viral product is actually worth your money, just ask.
