About Maharashtrian Bridal Artistry
In my course, we go beyond standard application. You will learn the technical precision required for the Maharashtrian bridal look, specifically focusing on long-wear HD bases that hold up under heavy traditional jewelry, the precise placement of the crescent moon bindi, and the art of professional Nauvari saree draping to complete the ensemble.
The Maharashtrian bridal look is a delicate balance between vibrancy and elegance. It requires a specific understanding of how to make a makeup base withstand the weight and heat of traditional jewelry, while ensuring the skin retains a natural, radiant finish.
What You Will Master
In this module, I teach you how to manage the color palette. Maharashtrian brides often wear bright yellows, oranges, or pinks. You will learn to color-correct the skin to ensure the base doesn't appear grey or dull against these intense hues. We cover everything from the 'chandrakor' (crescent) bindi placement to the specific eye makeup techniques that open up the eyes while complementing the traditional nose ring (nath).
Beyond the Brush
Being a makeup artist is about more than just technique. You will learn how to communicate with brides to help them feel comfortable in their look. My training includes:
- Longevity Protocols: Methods to ensure makeup remains tear-proof and sweat-proof through long wedding rituals.
- Draping Techniques: Step-by-step guidance on creating a clean, secure Nauvari drape.
- Lighting & Angles: Understanding how the look photographs in real-time, helping you build a portfolio that attracts high-end clients.
We keep our batches small, typically 3 to 5 students, so you get my direct attention. This is a practical, career-focused module designed to help you launch your work in the Mumbai bridal market with confidence and a unique creative voice.
