About Traditional Maharashtrian Bridal Makeup
When creating a traditional Maharashtrian look, the biggest challenge is balancing the richness of a Paithani or Nauvari saree with makeup that doesn't look heavy under bright wedding lights. I focus on specific skin-prep techniques—like precise color correcting for dusky tones and using high-end, long-wear products—that keep your base looking fresh, radiant, and completely natural from the first ritual to the final ceremony.
The Maharashtrian bridal look is iconic for its simplicity and elegance, but nailing it requires attention to detail that goes beyond just lipstick and foundation. Whether you are draping a traditional Brahmani Nauvari or wearing a vibrant Paithani, your makeup needs to complement the jewellery and the saree.
Why the Base Matters
Many brides worry about how their skin will look in person versus in photos. My approach is 'no-filter' flawless. I prioritize a long-lasting HD base that sits comfortably on textured skin. By focusing on CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) routines tailored to your skin type, I ensure your makeup doesn't crack or crease while you are busy with rituals like the Antarpat or Halad.
The Details That Define the Look
- Eye Makeup: I balance the traditional look with modern eye techniques. Whether you want soft shimmery eyes or a classic smokey finish, I ensure it complements your 'Nath' and 'Mundavalya'.
- Jewellery & Draping: The look is never complete without the right accessories. I guide you on how to place the Nath and flowers so they stay secure all day. I also assist with perfecting the Nauvari drape, ensuring the pleats are neat and comfortable, allowing you to move freely.
- High-End Products: I use professional, international-grade products that are verified to look great in real life. These products are chosen specifically for their durability in Mumbai's humidity, so you do not have to worry about touch-ups.
My goal is simple: to make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself, not a different person. If you are concerned about specific skin issues like acne or pigmentation, we will work together to cover them naturally so you can focus on smiling for your big day.
