My Favorite Makeup Products and Holy Grail Kit
People always ask what’s in my kit, so here are the tried and true products I rely on for my clients and my own makeup classes.
This is the ultimate lineup for flawless base magic. The MAC Studio Fix compact and Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter are two products I constantly reach for to create a smooth, radiant canvas.
The Too Faced Born This Way foundation is one of the most natural looking foundations out there. It provides beautiful coverage while still letting the skin look like skin, which is why it's a staple in my professional kit.
For the ultimate cheeky glow, I love the MAC Glow Play blush in the shade Grand. It has a unique bouncy texture that melts into the skin for a luminous, natural looking flush of color.
These lip products are pure gold. The Sephora Lip Stain, MAC lipstick in Mehr, and Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fussy are some of my all time favorites for creating the perfect pout, from matte to glossy.
The Too Faced Lip Injection gloss is the star of the show for a high shine, plumping effect. I love using this to top off a lipstick or even on its own for a juicy, full looking lip.
In this transformation, you can see some of my holy grail products in action. I used Freshlook lenses, Wink lashes, and a Colorbar lip liner to create this stunning and creative glam look.
About My Favorite Products
The secret isn't just owning high-end products; it’s about knowing how to layer them to suit Indian skin types. For example, I swear by the Too Faced Born This Way foundation not because of the branding, but because it provides a seamless, second-skin finish that handles the Faridabad heat perfectly. When I teach my students, we focus on why these specific textures work, especially when blending foundations for that perfect, sweat-proof undertone match.
When people visit my studio in Faridabad, the first thing they ask is, 'Priyal, what's in your kit?' It is a great question because the products you choose make all the difference, especially when you are trying to balance durability with a natural look. I don’t just use these for my professional bridal assignments; these are the exact tools I teach my students to use during my makeup courses.
The Base Essentials
For base work, I rely on a mix of textures. The MAC Studio Fix compact paired with the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter creates that radiant, long-lasting finish everyone wants. For foundation, Too Faced Born This Way is my non-negotiable because it lets the skin breathe while covering acne or uneven texture—it is perfect for that 'no-makeup' makeup look that stays put all day.
Eye and Lip Artistry
When it comes to eye and lip detailing, it is all about stacking colors. I often use a mix of MAC Mehr and Fenty Gloss Bomb for a custom lip shade that works from brunch to evening glam. For eyes, remember my rule: 70% shimmer, 30% matte. Going 50-50 bahut hi made up lagta hai (looks too artificial).
Why Technique Matters
Makeup is ultimately about trial and error. Try mixing textures, like a matte liquid lipstick with a high-shine gloss, to see what fits your style. In my workshops, we spend time discussing product ingredients and what works best for your specific skin type, because knowing your skin is the first step to a flawless face. Whether you are prepping for your wedding or just want to master your daily routine, using the right tools makes the process feel like art rather than a chore.
