About this collection
For your Muhurtham, I focus on intense skin prep to ensure your makeup stays fresh for 18 hours, even through rituals and humidity. My goal isn't to cover you with layers; it is to highlight your skin's natural glow so when you look back at your wedding photos, you see yourself, not a masked version of who you were that day.
The Art of the Muhurtham Look
Traditional South Indian ceremonies require a balance. You have heavy temple jewelry, a vibrant Kanjivaram, and hours of rituals. If your makeup is too light, it disappears; too heavy, and you feel uncomfortable. I design my Muhurtham looks to be 'soft glam'—defined enough for professional photography but lightweight enough that you feel like yourself.
Why HD or Airbrush? For most Muhurthams, I use HD liquid foundations (like NARS or MAC) for a skin-like, buildable finish. If we are dealing with a summer wedding or a humid venue, I often recommend the airbrush technique. It is silicone-based, waterproof, and heat-resistant, keeping your makeup intact for up to 18 hours.
Every Detail Matters
- Skin Prep: It starts with a CTM routine using high-end dermo-cosmetics. I do not skip this. Hydrated skin is the secret to makeup that does not crack.
- Hairstyling: Whether you want a traditional braid with fresh poola jada or a sleek modern bun, I handle the padding and hair extensions. You just bring the flowers; I bring the expertise.
- Draping: A Kanjivaram saree needs sharp, secure pleating. I use the double-pinning technique to ensure your saree stays perfect throughout the ceremony, whether you are sitting or moving around.
No Filters, No Edits I do not believe in editing my work. The photos you see on this page are captured in natural light. This is exactly how the makeup looks in real life. When we meet for your consultation, we will discuss your skin type and jewelry to ensure the lip shade and eye definition perfectly complement your attire.
