It was such a fun time creating this comedic character look for a vlogger's YouTube channel. This involved applying a full beard and wig to completely change their appearance for a performance. I enjoy collaborating on these fun projects that are all about getting a good laugh.
About Character Makeup for Performance & Fun
When we plan for a prosthetic character, like an old-age transformation, the most important part is the prep time. We usually need about 2.5 to 3.5 hours for the liquid latex, wax application, and careful detailing. It is a bit of a patience game, but seeing that character come alive in the mirror makes every minute worth it.
Character makeup is where art meets drama. Whether you need a subtle change for a comedy sketch or a full-on prosthetic transformation for stage and film, I handle it with the care it deserves.
My Approach to Creative Looks
For lighter, fun projects—like angel or clown looks for Instagram reels—I use theatrical-grade pigments and face paints that pop under studio lights. We can play with glitters, sharp contouring, and even false lashes to get the vibe just right. These looks typically take about 60 to 90 minutes and are designed to hold up well for photos and videos.
Advanced Prosthetics & Effects
If your project requires more depth, I move into advanced SFX territory. This involves using Spirit Gum adhesives, liquid latex for skin texture, and wax to physically change facial structures. I have experience with injury simulations, aging effects, and even gender-bending characters. Because these materials need proper drying time and careful removal, I recommend we chat about your specific character requirements at least a few days before your shoot.
I travel to locations across Delhi NCR, so whether you are shooting in a studio or on location, I can bring my kit to you. Let’s create something that gets everyone talking.
