About this collection
Don't think you need to be a pro to start. I teach SFX from the ground up, showing you exactly how to mix theatrical waxes and use specific paints to build realistic textures. You’ll practice making cuts and bruises that hold up under close inspection. Gotaitha? (Got it?)
Why does SFX matter for a makeup artist? Because film, theater, and editorial work rely on the illusion of reality. In my academy, we move past basic beauty to focus on the technical side of special effects. You will learn how to handle prosthetic adhesives, work with professional-grade waxes, and apply stage blood properly without it looking fake or messy.
It is not just about gore; it is about control. We cover fantasy looks using vibrant pigments and structural designs, like the Devi Durga or peacock themes you see in the gallery. You learn how to prep skin for heavy makeup and, more importantly, how to remove it safely so the skin stays healthy. We treat these classes as serious technical sessions where you learn the science behind the pigment.
Whether you are aiming for a career in the film industry or just want to add a unique edge to your portfolio, these techniques differentiate you from a standard artist. My training in T. Dasarahalli is hands-on and consistent. We start with the basics, work through the anatomy of an injury or a character concept, and finish with a shoot so you have real results to show for your effort. If you are serious about learning the 'why' behind the look, let's get to work.
