My process for these ceremonies starts exactly where my bridal makeup does, with serious skin hydration and priming. Whether you are prepping for an intimate engagement or a vibrant mehendi, I ensure your skin is prepped to look fresh, healthy, and luminous under daylight or evening lights, so you feel confident and comfortable from the very first ceremony to the last.
There is a specific kind of magic in the days leading up to the main wedding. These events are often more intimate, allowing for makeup looks that feel soft, playful, and incredibly natural. I specialize in these versatile styles, tailoring the aesthetic to the specific ritual, whether it is a traditional bangle ceremony or a modern engagement party.
My Approach to Pre-Wedding Glam
- Skin Prep is Priority: I treat pre-wedding makeup with the same intensity as the muhurtham. Using high-quality hydrators and specific eye patches helps your skin reflect light, giving you that 'lit-from-within' glow that looks amazing in candid photos.
- Adaptable Styles: For a daylight mehendi or haldi, I lean towards sheer, buildable coverage with coral or peach tones that harmonize with the sun. For evening engagements or sangeet nights, I can introduce more shimmer, soft smokey eyes, or bolder lip shades to match your outfit and the venue lighting.
- Hair Styling: Your hair is a huge part of these looks. From soft boho braids adorned with baby's breath for a mehendi, to elegant half-updos for an engagement, I focus on styles that are secure yet look effortless.
