Traditional Festive Makeup & Styling Looks
Festivals are special moments. Whether it is Varamahalakshmi or a family pooja, I style myself with the same care and high-quality, sweat-proof products I use for every client.
A full-length portrait from my Varamahalakshmi festival photoshoot. I styled myself in a traditional green and red silk saree with temple jewellery, creating a makeup look that was both festive and elegant.
A close-up of my festive makeup look. I created a sharp, winged eyeliner with a bold matte lip, a classic combination that is perfect for traditional occasions.
Another angle of my Varamahalakshmi pooja look, showcasing the flawless base and the intricate details of the jewellery.
A direct portrait shot. I believe in practicing my techniques on myself, ensuring I understand how different products perform and feel on the skin.
The complete look is a celebration of our rich culture and traditions. I bring this same passion and respect for tradition to all my clients' makeovers.
A happy moment during the Varamahalakshmi pooja. It’s a joy to get dressed up and celebrate these special festivals with family.

About this collection
I firmly believe that if I would not wear it all day for a festival, I should not apply it to you. That is why I personally test every product, from heavy-hold setting sprays to the specific eyeshadow palettes I use for traditional looks, during my own Varamahalakshmi pooja preparations. It ensures the makeup is not just beautiful, but truly comfortable and long-lasting through prayers and festivities.
When I get ready for festivals, I look for a balance between traditional elegance and modern, long-lasting performance. You see, a festive day isn't just a two-hour event. It involves early morning poojas, kitchen work, visiting relatives, and often the humidity of a Bangalore afternoon. That is why for my own festive styling, I rely on a mix of professional-grade products that offer sweat-proof, humidity-resistant finishes. I use these exact same brands, like MAC and Kryolan, on my clients.
The goal is a look that does not feel heavy but stays vibrant from the first lamp lit in the morning until the evening. I always emphasize that festive makeup should enhance your features, not hide them. I love a classic winged eyeliner paired with a bold lip for Varamahalakshmi or Satyanarayana Pooja, as it complements the richness of silk sarees and heavy temple jewellery perfectly.
When you see the photos here, notice how the makeup remains crisp and fresh. That comes down to the application technique—proper base preparation and the right setting powder—which I am happy to share tips on during our sessions. Whether you want a soft, glowing look or something more traditional and sharp, the focus remains on comfort. After all, when you are dressed in a heavy Kanjeevaram and jewellery, the last thing you should worry about is touching up your foundation or lipstick.
