When you see intricate character art or 3D sculptures, it is not just luck. It is hours of steady handwork and layering colors. For my freehand designs, I often start with a simple base and build details layer by layer, ensuring every line is crisp before we cure it. It takes patience to get that perfect Mickey Mouse or 3D butterfly, so when you book these, just know we are creating a mini-masterpiece on your nails.
I believe that great nail art starts with the foundation. In these videos, you will see exactly how I prep the nail bed before any paint touches it. Whether it is a dry manicure to clean up cuticles or etching the nail for better adhesion, I never skip the boring stuff because that is what makes your set last.
The Process Behind the Polish
- Freehand Painting: This is where I truly love to experiment. Using fine-tipped brushes and steady, intentional strokes, I map out characters and floral patterns directly onto the gel base. It is essentially drawing on a canvas, but with way less room for error!
- 3D Sculpting: For 3D butterflies or jellyfish designs, I use a high-density building gel. It requires a different approach than flat polish because I have to mold the structure while it is wet, ensuring it has enough volume to stand out without feeling too heavy or prone to snagging.
- Layering and Curing: Every piece of art you see here involves multiple passes under the LED lamp. I layer colors to get that deep, saturated look, especially with character art.
