A Personal Approach to Family Portraits

Photography is often about the end result, but for me, the magic happens in the in-between moments. Those unplanned interactions—a toddler grabbing a sibling's hand, a quiet look between a mother and her newborn—are the memories that actually stick. My goal is to make my studio or outdoor setups feel like a playdate, not a stiff production.

What Happens During a Session

If we are in the studio at Ashoka Enclave, we usually start with the more structured, minimal setups to get the kids settled. As they get comfortable, we switch to more interactive themes. If you choose an outdoor location across Delhi NCR, we follow the natural light, often incorporating props like picnic baskets or teepee tents to give your family a reason to engage with each other, rather than just staring at my lens.

Managing the Chaos

I intentionally leave room in our 1.5 to 3-hour sessions for the inevitable. If your toddler needs a snack break, we take it. If the grandparents need a moment to sit, we adjust. This is why I ask for your input on themes and wardrobe beforehand; it helps me create a plan that works with your family's energy, not against it. Whether it is a maternity shoot, a cake smash, or a full family portrait, my process is designed to handle the unexpected so you can focus on being present with your loved ones.
