Unleashing some unicorn magic in our art class! The kids used oil pastels to draw and color these vibrant, imaginative unicorns. It’s pure joy to see them create their own magical creatures.
Learning to draw portraits is easy when you start with a fun subject like Santa Claus. This class focused on sketching facial features and using watercolors to add color and personality.
About Portrait & Character Drawing
You do not need natural talent to create a character portrait. My method breaks every face down into simple shapes and lines, so anyone, even absolute beginners, can confidently draw Harry Potter, unicorns, or Santa Claus by the end of the session. We focus on having fun with the process rather than getting every detail perfect.
Portrait drawing often feels like advanced territory, but it is actually one of the most accessible ways to start your creative journey. My workshops demystify the process by turning complex facial features and character designs into basic geometric shapes.
Whether it is capturing the iconic details of a wizard or the fantasy elements of a unicorn, we work step-by-step to build your image from scratch. These sessions are perfect for children who want to draw their heroes and for adults looking for a relaxing, creative hobby.
What we cover:
- Sketching basics: Understanding proportions and basic shapes.
- Character details: How to add personality to your drawings.
- Coloring techniques: Using watercolors, oil pastels, or pencils to bring your portraits to life.
Logistics:
I bring all the materials—sketchbooks, pencils, and colors—right to your doorstep anywhere in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. Alternatively, you can visit my studio in Khar West for a more immersive, distraction-free environment. We focus on the act of creation rather than finding a perfect resemblance, which helps artists of all ages let go of perfectionism and enjoy the act of drawing.
