About Organic Forms in Wood & Paper

When working with wood and paper fixtures, we prioritize the relationship between the material and the light source. These pieces require specific placement to ensure the heat dissipation of the lamp does not interfere with the wood slats, which is why we assess ceiling heights and ambient temperature during our initial site visit.

Our collection features designs from Finnish masters like Seppo Koho. These fixtures are crafted from PEFC-certified birch, a material selected for its carbon-binding properties and ability to age gracefully. When we install these in Delhi homes, we focus on the interplay of shadow and warmth. The slats are form-pressed, meaning they are heat-treated to maintain their shape without warping, even in the fluctuating humidity of the region.

Installing these pieces involves more than hanging a pendant. Because many of these designs rely on precise gaps between the wood slats, the positioning of the light source inside the frame is critical. We use photometric simulations to calculate how the beam angle hits the slats, ensuring the shadow patterns are crisp rather than blurred. For double-height spaces, we often group these pendants in clusters, balancing their weight and the cable lengths to mimic a cloud-like structure.

Whether it is a floor lamp like the Petite 4620 or a large suspension piece, these fixtures serve as the focal point of a room. We handle the technical aspects, including ensuring the wiring protocol matches your dimming system, so the wood and paper textures remain the primary visual experience.
