Custom Skateboard Art and Hand-Carved Wood Pieces by Dkrypt
I transform discarded skateboards and raw timber into functional street art, bringing my signature Masala flow to your favorite objects.
This is what I call 'DKRYPT DA BOARD'. I take old skate decks and give them a new life with my Masala Style, carving and painting 3D Hindi letters. Each one is a unique, hand-made piece of art.
The finished 'Masala Style' skateboard deck, standing on its own. The carved letters create real depth and shadow, making it a true 3D piece.

The digital sketch and process for the 'DKRYPT DA BOARD' piece. I first design the letters, then transfer them to the wood for carving.

An older custom skateboard I did with a city skyline and a screaming character. I can work with any theme you've got in mind.
Sometimes I trade the spray can for a chisel. Up in the mountains, I got into wood carving, making this 'Masala Style' bowl by hand. If it's a surface, I can put my art on it.
Graff with a grain. This video shows the process of carving my graffiti letters into a block of wood, from drilling and chiseling to the final oil finish.
About DKRYPT DA OBJECT: Skateboard & Wood Art
For skate decks, I prefer using weathered boards that have seen some miles, as the wear adds an authentic grit to the piece. I sand, prime, and hand-carve the wood to create 3D relief effects, ensuring the final result is a static display object rather than a rideable deck.
When I talk about my object work, I mean literally anything. My process for skateboards starts with sanding the old surface, laying down a primer, and then physically carving into the maple to create depth before the aerosol work begins. It is not just paint on wood, it is about manipulating the surface so the lettering pops. For wood bowls and sculptural pieces, I head out to the mountains or my studio, working with chisels and drills to carve Hindi-inspired flows directly into the grain. Every commission is a conversation about what you want to see, whether it is an old school skyline or heavy 3D wildstyle lettering. I use high-grade clear coats to seal the wood, protecting the aerosol gradients and markers from fading. This process turns a forgotten board or a block of timber into a permanent installation for your wall. Let me know what you want to turn into art and we can figure out the best technique to make it happen.
