For these family sessions, we typically use a solid black backdrop. This choice keeps the attention on the interaction between parents and the baby, rather than the background. If you are planning a home shoot, we bring our own portable backdrop and studio lighting to your location, so you get the same clean look without leaving your house.
Our Approach to Family Portraits
When we photograph parents and their newborns, our goal is to capture the bond, not just the baby. We believe that simple is better, which is why we favor a classic, moody black background. This style works well for color, black and white, and even silhouette portraits.
Preparing for Your Shoot
- Outfit Coordination: We recommend wearing solid colors like black, white, or navy. Avoid loud prints or neon colors that can distract from the baby's face. If you need specific advice on what to wear for a cohesive look, let us know when you book.
- Sibling & Grandparent Inclusion: We can absolutely include siblings or grandparents in these portraits. The extended family session package is designed to provide extra time for these setups, as managing multiple family members requires more patience and soothing time.
- Studio vs. Home: Our studio in JP Nagar is fully equipped for these portraits. If you prefer a home session, we bring the studio to you. We set up the lights and backdrop in your living space. Please note that travel charges are extra for home visits within Bangalore.

- Safety First: Whether your baby is awake or sleeping, we prioritize their comfort. If a baby needs to feed or be soothed during the session, we pause. We factor this into our shoot duration so you never feel rushed.
